What is Atomic Soul?

We are an online clothing apparel company located in the Newcastle Region of New South Wales, Australia. We pride ourselves in all of our designs being made from the hearts of people who truly love being creative.

Our Mission Statement

Our mission is to make unique designs which are different than the same old cookie cutter, rinse and repeat designs, through the eyes of neurodivergent people.

You might be wondering, what are Atomic Soul’s business values?

For one, we believe in your information being yours. As the founder of Atomic Soul I always hated having to deal with cookies on websites, so I vowed to not repeat the same thing with my company website. Alongside respecting you as a customer and not treating you like a walking source of money, we believe in making designs from the heart and not using AI to generate them. All of our designs are made by our amazing artists, and that includes our website too.

We also believe in community, embracing and respecting each other’s differences even when we disagree. Atomic Soul isn’t here to tell you how to think or how to behave – that’s not our job. Our job is clothing, so we’ll stick to making cool and exciting designs to wear.

Our Goal

Our goal is to become a household brand for all, by shaking up the same old boring designs. While embracing the differences of each other and building a community which can enable and show off the talents of neurodiverse people and give a pathway for the world to see their brilliance.

How did Atomic Soul start?

I’ve always had the idea of starting a clothing company for my designs, but it always seemed too daunting and too hard, more akin to a dream than a feasible reality, but that never stopped me from revisiting the idea throughout my childhood.

Eventually the idea kind of faded away, but not forgotten, just hidden. When my Employment Pathways coach was going through the process of trying to figure out what I want to do with my life, and what I could do as a job with my disabilities (really bad dyslexia, autism with all of the fun quirks with it and extremely bad anxiety) in mind. I started to develop a terrible self-doubt since high school of what I could do, and who would want to even hire me one-day, as I was thinking what I could potentially do, the idea suddenly hit me again, the idea I had since childhood of trying to make my designs into something more than artworks waiting to be forgotten. 

I decided to explore the idea a lot more intensely than what I did previously. And because of that, I mentioned it to Employment Pathways coach Eduardo and Nick my idea and they helped me navigate and encouraged me throughout the whole journey of starting a business.

They turned what felt like a dream into a doable reality. Without the help and encouragement of them, and many other people in my life, my idea, would not be possible.

My message to everyone is no matter how hard something may seem, no matter how impossible it may feel, as long as you never give up, and you always keep trying, eventually, it will work out, and your dreams will come true.
